Memorial website in the memory of your loved one

Flowers die, stories end, songs fade, memories are forgotten... but precious people are treasured forever. This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Pastor (Mrs.) Funmi Victoria Bankole, nee Ibitoye-Aborishade. B.A. Hons. (Ife)

It may sound paradoxical, but it is indeed very true that our dear Funmi Bankole is Gone further with the father at 38 years.
Sometimes I wonder why all good thing don't last, but I believe all good thing also shall return to God.
Ever most Generous, Sweet-Nature lady that traces love in the live of her fellow men.
The most beloved friend, wife & mother whose sympathy was so broad that it may be truly said of her, she loved her neighbor as her self. The friend of all her race. May the Lord Grant you a peaceful rest.
Adieu........ Brief candle.
Funmi was born at Ila-orangun, Osun-State in Nigeria on 7th. April 1966 and passed away on May 20, 2003 at the age of 38. Sleep on.... We will remember her forever.

BENEFIT OF DEATH

When death strike around us,
sorrow grips our heart.
our love one is gone,
oh!abortion of lofty dreams-
ambitions of greatness terminated.
but,death has its benefits.

Who will never be glad going home
those who have ideal home never have
a time too early to go home
well, the pain of departure;
but, very temporary
Funmi is gone ahead of us
we'll be together again someday

Death has its benefits,
death is a reminder
4 once a pause over the vanity of life
a due everyone must pay
at a time only God decides.
death is the only flight back home.
only a transformation from terrestrial
to celestial
what a gain? what a time to be with
our loving Jesus?
Forever in the arm of the one who love us

We're not here to be remembered,
not to set records that would soon
be trashed
but to prepare for eternity.

May the peace of God that transcends every
understanding guide our mind through Christ.

Appreciation to Bishop David Oyedepo, & Others

Losing a wife is one thing, losing a soul mate is like having a part of your spirit torn away. Everything we planned together came to a grinding halt and I had to start life all over again. My experience after wards was the greatest test of my faith.
I will always thank God for giving me the honor of being a part of your brief, but wonderful life.
I especially thank God for the three wonderful children that God blessed us with.
‘PAPA’ Bishop David Oyedepo, thanks for your fatherly love by coming in person, and releasing a bus to convey people from Lagos to Ibadan for the burial and your financial input at the most crucial moment of my life, you are a father. To all the great men of God, on whose wings of anointing I flew.
Pastor & Pastor (Mrs.) Bayo Adeyemo, you deserve a ‘thank-you’ for hosting us at Ibadan.
Bishop and Pastor (Mrs.) Charles Ighele, thanks for having to leave your church twice on a Sunday morning with your wife to attend to us. Bishop and Pastor (Mrs.) Odulaja for coming all the way from Lagos to officiate at the funeral ceremony at Ibadan,
Pastor Frank Eharbor you’re a friend, together we shall win forever. My Immense gratitude to Turning Point Chapel family, to the entire Ibitoye-Aborishade dynasty of Ila-Orangun. And To those families and friends names not mentioned here I remain grateful eternally.
-Faith Emmanuel Bankole

A Woman of many souls

AN EXCERPT, CULLED FROM

"WOMANHOOD"

A BOOK ON “THE KINGDOM VIRTOUS WOMEN OF OUR TIME”. BY TONY UGOM UGONKWO

ON PASTOR [MRS] FUNMI BANKOLE (PUBLISHED 2002)

We call her Mama. Mummy Funmi is a woman of many souls, and she is a singer, a writer, seasoned educationist, experienced in business, a dancer, a teacher of the word and an ever-smiling counselor.

She is so calm and calculative that at first sight one may take her to be a bench warmer. A true sister she is for Pastor Faith Bankole – The husband [A prolific writer and an end time teacher ] has the best friend and helper in her.

She is a woman that never complains, doesn't underrate anybody. Ever smiling and ready to entertain strangers, her loyalty humbles naughty souls. The way she communicates with Pastor Bankole dazzles me into believing that they have knowledge of sign language.

Mama, a mother of all living, you are!
